Thounds is only four months old and already showing at MIDEM, our agendas are getting busy with interesting meetings and conferences to follow, and be sure you are going to read lots from us through the next days.
MIDEM is the the largest music convention in Europe (some might say on the Planet) with nearly 10,000 partecipants from 4,000 companies gathered in the Palais de Festivals in Cannes, France from Saturday 23rd to Wednesday 27th January.
Who’s attending the show? Probably everyone in the music industry, record labels, promoters, licensing companies, artists, managers, social networks, content aggregators, music journalists, etc
During the exhibition, not only we will introduce our web platform (and new mobile application) but also we are joining forces with SplitGigs, a new start up that helps bands to swap live slots.
Come and find us all at the OpenSpace pavillion, pod no. 34!
… or follow us on Twitter @thounds and Facebook www.facebook.com/thounds

Going from inspiration to sharing (through recording) now becomes as easy as pie.
What can be shared?
Any thoundstrack that you set at public from your library (click “edit info” for the tweak)
You can modify this property only if you own the track, that is if you started it.
Share with a Thounds page
You can invite your friends or audience to a specific URL to play the thoundstrack.
Just click on the title of the track and you will get its own Thounds page, where you can play the thounstrack alone and find many sharing options (Twitter, Facebook, Myspace, Delicious, …) for spreading your inspiration to others.
Post your Thoundstrack on Facebook
Go to the Thounds player page (see above) and copy the URL address, then paste in your comments. Or the simpel way: just click the Facebook icon below and you will get the preview of the embedded player.

Ever wondered what is the most used tag in Thounds?
Well, we did and we now thank our developers for passing on the information.
We thought of band names, genres, instruments, locations but our guesses failed because the most used actually is …
Try a guess, word up thounders

Hallo,
a quick message before leaving for the Christmas break, as we have just released a few new features:
- Share your thoundstrack just with a direct link, and also you can now decide whether to make your music available for everyone, for your contacts or just keep it for yourself.
Go to your library and click “edit info” on selected track, you will see these new features
- Have you noticed a mobile phone over some avatar?
You guess it, those are the beta testers and they are uploading music with the iPhone application
- Feedback tag: drop us your ideas and comments to improve our application, it’s on the right side of the screen

Still working on a major update due for early January, meanwhile hope you will enjoy these new small improvements.
Merry Christmas and happy New Year
