We believe an update on the current competition is due.
You may know already you have to get more comments than others to win prizes, namely one white Fender Stratocaster for the 1st place winner and then three Soundcloud Premium accounts for the next positions.
This is going to be the last competition for a while and we think, because of this and the fantastic prizes, the feedback has been enormous, our servers are experiences difficulties any time of the day and we apologize for that (that’s why we’ve given you two more days to win)
Since the beginning of contest we started monitoring comments and suspicious activities, and we’ve been cleaning up from fake users comments for a few days, in order to give everyone the same opportunity and discourage the use of disposable email accounts or other unfair actions.
Not happy with this, for a double check we have sent out an email to those who placed a comment asking to express “like” on our Facebook page or reply to the message and only a few did (i.e. to prove they’re actual users)
So, if you see your track cut of comments now you should understand why.

Following server downtime during the weekend we asked our community to decide whether to give two more days or not and they have decided for more time, so:

Dear Thounders,
during the last days our traffic has significantly increased and apparently someone is trying to cause a DoS too, all of that comes in result of slow downs and thounds.com to go out of service.
Our team has been working hard to fix it since last night, we are sorry for this inconvenience.
We are aware the increase in traffic is due to the Fender Stratocaster contest and thus we are going to take a decision whether postdating the deadline once server problems are solved.

Yesterday evening problems with the recorder (which couldnt connect properly) are now solved, apologies for any inconvenience and thanks to everyone who promptly sent us an alert .
